What is GoDaddy 4GH?
GoDaddy’s 4gh (Fourth Generation Hosting) is just a new term GoDaddy
likes to use for their web hosting packages. Essentially, it is nothing
but a much needed update for GoDaddy which now gives GoDaddy the ability
to manage traffic spikes for their web hosting. Before, if your hosting
account was receiving too much traffic and was putting a strain on
GoDaddy’s servers, they would shut your hosting account down. This means
that your website would just suddenly stop working. Now, thanks to 4GH,
it basically allocates more resources to the server to help keep your
site live. However, note that GoDaddy continues to only allow a limited
amount of viewers, so if your website still receives too much traffic,
GoDaddy will block viewers from visiting your site to reduce server
strain.
